This place is worth an overnight stop. It has a fantastic view of the orange, pink and green rocks. You can even explore the Red Rock State Park and also swim in Slide Rock State Park. Millions of people go hiking the vortexes in this area. It is worth a try. Remember to carry enough water and sunscreen.
Historic Cameron Trading Post.
You could also stop here to see this historic site. The fascinating thing about it is that you can enjoy the traditional Navajo food which is delicious. From here, you can enjoy seeing the Colorado River Gorge and also the Painted Desert. You will fall in love with the beauty of the place and the views. Remember to carry your camera to capture these moments.
The Grand Canyon National Park.
There are no videos or pictures in the world that will prepare you for this. It is something that you should not miss out on; otherwise you will regret it. You can marvel at this natural scenery from any of the viewpoints. For viewing of the sunset, Lipan Point is perfect. You will see it set over the rocks and the Colorado River. The North Rim closes in winter while the south one is open all year. If you are hungry, you could visit the El Tovar and experience their incredible food. You could explore this park for a couple of days if you have time so that you will not miss out on anything. You could also go hiking here. Marvelous, right?
