The easiest hiking trail you can take in the Yellowstone is the famous Hell’s Gate Trail. It is about seven miles long, and it starts off at the parking area near the visitor center. From there, you will head toward the Hell’s Gate River, which is the only way to reach the top of the Park. There are some nice places to stay at the visitor center, so if you decide to stay there, be sure to get an early reservation so that you can avoid having to deal with traffic or having to wait for your turn. When you start heading back down the road, be sure to follow the signs, as there will be a lot of wildlife in the woods.
